SBTax is the ActiveX control that will calculate US state sales tax and Canadian PST and GST. It is the easiest solution to solve tax issues for your E-commerce site. It is compiled in Visual C++ for fast execution. No Visual Basic Runtime Module is needed.

To use SBTax, simply insert following lines into your ASP code:

Set SBTax = CreateObject("SBTAX.SBTaxCtrl.1")
SBTax.StateProvince = "CA"
SBTax.TaxableAmount = 100
SBTax.TaxFileDir = "c:\"

If SBTax.CalculateTax Then
Response.Write formatcurrency(SBTax.TotalTax)
else
Response.Write SBTax.ErrorMessage
End If

Trouble Shooting:

If you get following error while running regsvr32:

Load Library (c:\winnt\system32\sbtax.ocx)failed
GetLastError 0X000000b6

This is because you do not have required MFC DLLs on your system. You can download the other version that does not require MFC DLLs.
